“Plus uno maneat perenne saeclo.”

May it remain everlasting for more than one generation.

“Catullus was right. His little book lives on, transmitted from generations to generations — on different media. The first panel is meant to show ‘plus uno’ written in Roman cursive on a wax tablet. The second panel immitates how ‘maneat’ was written in a 14th century manuscript. The last shows ‘perenne saeclo’ on a computer screen.” - Alexandra Wang

“Exegi monumentum aere pereennius.”I built a monument more lasting than bronze.

“Exegi monumentum aere pereennius.”

I built a monument more lasting than bronze.
